Day 5 — Reclaiming Myself and First Brainstorming

Today I wanted to discuss the rewiring that I am going through. It’s really interesting how the past 4 days have affected me. Forcing myself to focus on brainstorming for this new project and on documenting the process is rewiring me. My brain was not used to thinking about problems around anymore and seemed a lot more focus on just consuming everything that gets posted around me. For the past year, I’ve been addicted to my phone and I’ve been spending too much time reading the news and feeling like our world is doomed. I’ve also noticed that everyone in my house has been too comfortable being a consumer of information instead of being active. This is not good.

So this week, I started a document called my brain dump where I list every idea I’ve had lately (or in the past years and which I’ve not acted on. I’m thinking over the next few days, I’ll list all the ideas I have for the first but also other months. I’ve also thought of a way to divide all of these ideas. I’d love to run a poll with all of you, so that you can also help me decide which idea would solve a problem in your life or is something that interests you.

Here’s some of the random ideas in no particular order:

- Adventures everywhere: A platform where creators can create open world adventures powered by maps, nfc, items, etc. Games can be sponsored, lead players to businesses, and lead to real world rewards.

- EV car conversion: Set up the supply chain to provide parts to garages in BC that can provide EV conversions.

- TV Pilot festival: A Yearly Film festival that showcases tv pilots that have not yet been turned into TV shows. Provides a platform to connect indie tv/film creators with TV channels and streaming platforms. It’s very difficult as a pilot creator to get funding to film a tv series.

- Crowdfunding investment platform: You can invest in a tech startup and get real shares instead of just obtain a product.

- Japanese Hot Springs in Harrisons Hot Springs: Harrison’s hot springs is an hour and half away from Vancouver. It receives many visitors hoping to experience some lovely hot springs by a lake. Unfortunately there are no public hot springs and you need to stay at the old and shaby Hot Springs resort. We aim to change that and turn it into a delightful and relaxing experience similar to what you experience in Japan.

- EV Charging station in remote places: Electric Cars will be ubiquitous in a few years and similar to gas stations, ev cars will need places to stop and charge along the way. I doubt restaurants with 1–2 parking spots will cut it. Also, these would be a great opportunity to offer other services since drivers will need to stop for 20–30 minutes.

- Special gifts: A website with a collection of handcrafted gift ideas and maybe a recommendation engine for gifts, all of them shipping from partners / websites that pay a referral fee / commission.

- Mental health chat bot: A bot that aims to keep people sane and happy, and keeps company to lonely, sad, depressed, perhaps could also use voice recognition to chat with elderly or sms.

- E-Book: Launch my own ebook about one of the skills or knowledge that I have. Could also be about my stories,

- Similar for Alibaba but with factories in North America and Europe that supply goods. As opposed to focussed on China…

- Virtual democracy nation game: An online multiplayer game, mostly text based, where people are given a citizenship, and where nations all try to succeed and people are forced to solve issues, manage budget, etc. The platform would be used to try and build an online government that is transparent, etc.

- Kickstarter with green projects and initiatives in mind: Pretty self explanatory…

- Food subscription with a twist: You subscribe to be delivered 2 meals per day. You don’t get to pick your meal or where it comes from. It comes from a restaurant that is picked near your home, which gets to produce meals for many people for a fixed price. The algorithm learns people’s tastes as they review the meal they got. It’s a win win for restaurant and consumers as they get a discounted meal and know how much they will pay, and the restaurant wins on cooking for many people during their down times.

- ModernTraveler.ca — Website with custom travel itinerary — adventures — travel concierge — Or maybe also like an airbnb of available tour guides that speak your language.

- Online store selling premium home traveling kit: You partner with a local restaurant, a store, etc, and provice customers with a meal, paired drink and dessert, but you also get to zoom call with a family that lives in the country of the food you are eating.

- Film Production and Distribution company — This is what I am already doing, but do not have a proper company setup.

- Easily deployable dome for schools. Currentl domes available for purchase are around 20 000$. I think they could be produced for much less, especially using tent material like the poles, and perhaps the material could be deployable like a tent. Main goal with this would be to allow children to enjoy virtual reality and 360 video outside of a headset which is a very lonely experience.

- Smart p2p delivery company powered by clean vehicles: Right now, delivery is a wasteful business. The goal would be to do delivery via drivers that have clean cars, and each delivery is assigned to drivers who pick up and deliver on the route they are already going on. This idea might need to be hashed out better.

-Amazon honest review network: Amazon right now has a big problem where for your project to land in early

-Immigration consulting firm: With the way things are going in certain parts of the world (I will not name them here), it is expected that many million people will be seeking another citizenship within the next 5 years. There are many countries selling their citizenship and current agencies doing this are making very good money. There are two ways I could go about this, one is do referrals, in which the startup would be about SEO and having the best page that entices people, or I could outright become an agent for those countries.

That’s it for today. Tomorrow I will try and find time to put all these ideas in a scoring and more logical order. Let me know what catches your eye.
